Press renders of the Samsung Galaxy Note 5 and the Galaxy S6 Edge Plus leak ahead of the official announcement of the phablets in mid-August.
Samsung Galaxy Note 5 and Galaxy S6 Edge Plus press renders leaked by @evleaks. The handsets are expected to be unveiled at a Samsung event on Aug. 13.
Normally, Samsung launches a new top-end handset of the Galaxy Note series in September. However, the Korean company has confirmed in a latest tweet post that the next Galaxy smartphone, probably the Galaxy Note 5, will be announced on Aug. 13. Rumors also suggest that the Galaxy Note 5 will share the stage with the Galaxy S6 Edge Plus.
Samsung remains silent about the hardware or the design aspects of both the upcoming smartphones. However, there are a number of rumors, which points at the expected hardware of the Galaxy Note 5 and the Galaxy S6 Edge Plus.
Famous leakster Evan Blass, going by the pen name @evleaks, has posted a press render of what could be the next Galaxy Note 5 and the Galaxy S6 Edge Plus.

Based on the leaked information about the Galaxy Note 5, Ivo Maric, a popular render artist, has also created some images of the phablet and posted them on his Instagram page. However, the render leaked by @evleaks looks more real.
Previous rumors had indicated that the Galaxy S6 Edge Plus will be a taller version of the original Galaxy S6 Edge and it seems so from the latest press render. The Galaxy S6 Edge sports a 5.1-inch display while the Galaxy S6 Plus Edge is expected to get a 5.5-inch screen.
The Galaxy Note 5 seems to have borrowed the design from Galaxy S6. A previous TechTimes report noted that the camera in the Galaxy Note 5 will be similar to the camera found in the Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge. The flash on the Galaxy Note 5 will also be located alongside the camera module rather than under it.
The 3.5mm audio jack was placed on the top of the Galaxy Note 4. The Galaxy Note 5 is estimated to have the audio jack and loudspeaker on the bottom of the handset.
The Galaxy Note 5 and the Galaxy S6 Edge Plus remain one of the most-anticipated phablets of this year. Android smartphone owners will have to wait just a bit more to get the first glimpse of the two Samsung handsets.
