NewsPSVideo It’s No Joke; Here Are Your PS Plus Games For…

The time has finally arrived. Sony announced its latest offering for PS Plus late last night and it sure is looking good. First in line are the games you will be able to download on your PS4 in a week’s time.

Tower of Guns is an excellent indie title that launched alongside the PS4. It is described as a “rogue-like single-player first-person shooter” and is developed by Terrible Posture Games. As its name suggests, each level takes place in a tower filled with a variety of guns. The aim is to ascend the tower by advancing through as series randomized areas and enemies. This means that each playthrough offers a unique experience. There is no story-line and you have only one objective; kill the bad guys and reach the top – literally. Here is a video showing just how awesome the game is:

Next in line is the atmospheric puzzler, Never Alone (Kisima Ingitchuna). What make this game unique is that it was developed in partnership with the Alaska Native community and explores “what it means to be human” through intergenerational stories. It is intended both to share the stories of native culture as entertainment, and to revitalize interest in Alaskan indigenous folklore.
Also unique to April’s PS Plus offering  is that we will be receiving a third PS4 game; Aaru’s Awakening. As you will see from the video below, the game is a stylish, hand-drawn, fast-paced, 2D action platformer. Players take charge of Aaru, a mythical creature with two unique abilities; teleportation and charging. Using these two abilities, you must traverse the dangerous world of Lumenox to defeat an evil entity.
Both Aaru’s Awakening and Tower of Guns is available on cross buy, so you will also receive these titles for your PS3. If this is too much indie for your liking, you will also receive the fantastic Dishonored on PS3. If you don’t know what this game is about, have you been living under a rock? It is a stealth action adventure set in the fictional, plague-ridden industrial city of Dunwall. The game follows the story of Corvo Attano, bodyguard to the Empress of the Isles, who is framed for her murder and forced to become an assassin, seeking revenge on those who conspired against him.

Lastly, the PS Vita will receive the highly underrated and quite frankly brilliant Killzone: Mercenaries. If your Vita is in need of some FPS love, it doesn’t get any better than this. Even if you are not that in to FPS games, be sure to check this out if you have a Vita. It is generally considered as one of the best games on the platform.

The Vita will also receive the quite unique title, MonsterBag –  an adorable puzzle game about a bag-shaped monster named V trying to reach his friend Nia without scaring the pants off of people. What is even more interesting, is that it is a relatively new game for the Vita, which means we will effectively get a new game for “free”.  To see just how unique the game is, check out this video:
