NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. — A woman in North Charleston is healing, after her husband’s pit bull attacked her, late Sunday, resulting in loss of part of her arm.
Local media outlets have confirmed that 48-year-old Katherine Rizk was assailed at her residence and is currently in the intensive care unit of the Medical University of South Carolina Hospital, in Charleston.
Mahmoud Rizk informed The Post and Courier of Charleston (http://bit.ly/1IoKNeF) that his poor wife’s left arm had to get amputated from the elbow down.
Rizk’s husband said that he owned the dog for over three years and that it had never bitten or attacked anyone, in this period. He furthered that the dog received a cut earlier on Sunday and he assumes that the dog attacked when his wife perhaps, unknowingly pressed on the wound when, petting it.
The dog is reported to have been euthanized, Monday.
