J.K Rowling sure loves to give us mini heart attacks. You open the entertainment section on a lazy morning and your heart skips a beat! A new Harry Potter venture titled ‘Harry Potter and the Cursed Child’ is coming to town.
Details are still a mystery, and we still don’t know whether this story will see the old gang get back together or not. But my mind is already reeling with what it could be about and potential list of actors for lead role. I, for one, would love to see Emma Watson reprise her role as Hermione Granger. She was perfect as Hermione – even without the buck-teeth and excessively bushy brown hair!
The news of a Harry Potter play have been circling for a while now. Rumor first broke in December 2013, when Harry Potter author J.K. Rowling confirmed she was developing a prequel to he original novel series – one which would focus on Harry, before he attended Hogwarts. Suddenly the title ‘cursed child’ makes a whole lot more sense! Poor kid being bullied by his big, fat cousin Dudley!
The new update on the project arrives on the 18th anniversary of the publication date for Rowling’s first book about The Boy Who Lived, “Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone” (know as “Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone” in the U.S.).
