US National Parks Use GPS To Track Humans Instead Of Animals

Scientists now looking to track humans to study their behavior.

Besides the wildlife, humans are now being tracked through GPS to research how visitor’s movements will affect the ecosystem.

Rocky Mountain National Park and Yosemite National Park will provide volunteers with GPS trackers so a research can be carried out.

Researchers will use the collected data to help make decisions for the improvement of the park and higher customer satisfaction such as park upgrades and where to put future trails, parking areas, rest rooms etc.
