Men who are in the habit of drinking three cups of espresso a day, or as it may be, consumes an equal quantity of caffeine dily, are less prone to suffer erectile dysfunction.
In a survey involving 3, 724 men, researchers were able to make an association between coffee and ED. The participant were 20 years and above. Questions were asked about their usual coffee daily consumption and whether they experience erectile dysfunction. The coffiene consumption was not only limited to coffee but also included tea, soft drinks and soda beverages. .
More to the point, the survey manage to show that men who consume from 85 to 170 milligrams of caffeine with usual regularity daily, are 42 percent less prone from suffering ED, while those who consume 171 to 300 milligrams of caffeine daily, were 39 percent less likely to experience ED, compared to those who only consume an equivalent of caffiene from 0 to 7 milligrams daily.
Caffeine keeps both the penile helicine arteries and the cavernous smooth muscles to loosen up, thereby increasing the penile blood flow, which serves as the inspiration for the researchers to collect information. The data results are true and proven for those who with most signs of being potemtially affected by ED although it’s not true to all of them
“Even though we saw a reduction in the prevalence of ED with men who were obese, overweight and hypertensive, that was not true of men with diabetes. Diabetes is one of the strongest risk factors for ED, so this was not surprising,” said David S. Lopez, Dr.P.H., M.P.H., assistant professor at UTHealth School of Public Health, in a press release.
