Amazon rolls out WorkMail that works with well Microsoft Outlook, Android, iOS, Amazon Fire, and Windows Phone applications

Online shopping magnate Amazon Web Services has just plunged into the e-mail services niche with its Amazon WorkMail. This new feature is not an app, but it is rather a managed business email and calendaring service that are built to go in sync with apps just like Microsoft Outlook, Android, iOS, Amazon Fire, and Windows Phone applications. The new service is pitched with a trial version that will last for 30 days and may cover up to 25 users to let them have the look and feel.

Since Amazon has been using the Microsoft Exchange ActiveSync protocol the WorkMail is cinched to work well with different devices ( iOS, Android, Amazon Fire, and Windows) and with Microsoft Outlook on both OS X and Windows desktop computers.

All the information within the WorkMail data is automatically encrypted employing AWS Key Management Service. Users can also take over data locality by selecting their AWS region.

Businessmen will need not deal with any hardware or software since Amazon says that its Amazon WorkMail automatically operates all patches, back-ups, and upgrades and seamlessly works with with Microsoft Active Directory, as users are allowed to log in with their existing email credentials.

To pounce on this service a business owner will shell out $4 per user per month. The fee will also cover the immense 50GB of storage per user. Amazon will also bundle the service with Amazon WorkDocs, will both offer both services together for $6 per user per month. The package also includes a mammoth 200GB of Amazon WorkDocs storage for each user.
