Harley-Davidson has been named as the official motorbike of the 75th Annual Sturgis Motorcycle Rally that will unfurl at Sturgis, South Dakota later this year as part of the 75-year concord established by the city with the motorcycle producer.
The agreement covers the creation of a plaza on the city’s Main Street which will integrate bricks from the company’s headquarters in Milwaukee. The construction of the plaza is expected to be done in due course for the staging of the highly anticipated 75th edition of the Sturgis’ motorcycle rally. Sturgis Motorcycle Rally website has disclosed that the rally will be held from August 3 to 9 this year.
Sturgis Mayor Mark Carstensen has stated in a press release that Harley-Davidson has been named as the official motorcycle of the rally for the many seven decades. Carstensen added that it gives him enormous pleasure in solidifying the Harley-Davidson’s significance on the event by making it the official motorcycle of the Sturgis Motorcycle Rally.
The event is expected give delight to the plethora of motorcycle fans and aficionados that are expected to flock the city later this year. Aside from the much-awaited rally there also other exciting big and small activities in store for the motorcycle enthusiasts like free concerts, camping, exhibits, demos, games and the list goes on.
