The American automaker Ford rode into the crest of its momentum it has built in 2014 by starting the year in a smashing fashion. The red-hot Ford truly never run out of surprises as it produced countless ohs and ahs by launching its all-new Ford GT in the on-going North American International Auto Show in Detroit.The high-performance super car, Ford GT boasts of twin-turbocharged EcoBoost V6 making it oneof the most-sought after cars this year for the high-end buyers.
The newly fangled Ford GT brings in sweeping features such as rear-wheel drive, potent engine, and silky smooth two-door coupe shell.
It is run by the most powerful EcoBoost production engine that has ever been built – groundbreaking twin-turbocharged 3.5-litre EcoBoost V6 petrol mill.
The sleek car’s production will kick off in the last quarter of 2016, and is slated to land in selected regions in the world to commemorate the 50th anniversary of Ford GT race cars’ epic clean sweep of the top three positions in the 1966 24 Hours of Le Mans.
Mark Fields, Ford president and chief executive officer has stated that aside from integrating innovations with the company’s business core it is worth noting that the company’s first innovation was not whipped up in the laboratory but on the racetrack. Fields is referring to Henry Ford’s phenomenal victory in a car race that was staged in 1901, a monumental feat that swayed the investors to funnel in worthy investments on the company.
Fields added that Ford is zealous on dishing out innovations to ensure optimum performance and give enormous joy on people’s hearts.
The GT is just of one of less than 12 new Ford Performance automobiles that the company has stated that will go on sale before 2020 ends. Ford adds GT on its growing list of amazing Ford Performance cars which already have F-150 Raptor,Focus RS, Shelby GT350 and Shelby GT350R.
The Ford GT is built with lightweight materials such as carbon-fiber and aluminum.
Ford Group Vice President for Global Product Development, Raj Nair said that “The GT is the ultimate execution of an enthusiast supercar,” and added that aerodynamic efficiency is at the core of GT design, as it reduces drag significantly and secures downforce and stability.
The car’s appears like an aircraft that is ready to propel at a break-neck speed. The GT also features an active rear spoiler to ensure driving experience like no other.
