Samsung Devices will get to taste the sweet Android 5.0 Lollipop Update according to leaked Reddit post

Earlier this month Samsung has released the Android 5.0 Lollipop update to its flagship Galaxy S5 in Europe.

As of this moment the consumer electronics conglomerate is poised to roll out the update to its devices in other parts of the world. According to a Reddit post from someone who is claiming to be an employee of Samsung has stated that Samsung USA is mulling about releasing the Android 5.0 Lollipop update for the Galaxy S5 and then to be followed by Samsung Galaxy Note 4 and Samsung Galaxy Note Edge phablets.

The employee who posted under the initials BGR titled his post as “Samsung confirmed L release in Jan” and made claims that Samsung has sent internal mails to retail stores to prepare for the new year as well as for the upcoming Android 5.0 Lollipop update for its devices. The alleged employee added that Samsung provided instructions on how to prepare for the forthcoming update. The post was verified to be genuine by a Reddit moderator last Wednesday.

The exact date of the release is not yet confirmed in the post, but it will come very soon.

The employee said that the first wave of Android 5.0 Lollipop updates will be specially built for Galaxy S5, Galaxy Note 4, and Galaxy Note Edge and will be followed by Samsung Galaxy S4 and Samsung Galaxy Note 3.

The employee’s claims jive well with the blueprint that has been disclosed by Samsung Finland website last week.

There are still no official announcements from Samsung about the release of the Lollipop 5.0 update for Samsung Galaxy devices but it is cinched to come sooner or later. Keep in mind that Samsung had unleashed a teaser way back in October about the Android 5.0 Lollipop update for the Galaxy Note 4 phablet although there are no further developments have been dished out so far by Samsung.

It appears like Samsung is headed for an intense battle against its main rival Apple this year.
