Ford Motor Company basks on its sweet victory as it cops the prestigious and elusive 2015 Detroit Free Press Car Award.
The company’s highly-touted 2015 Ford (F) Mustang has it all as it boasts of sweeping features, powerful engine, handsomely masculine looks and affordable price.
The Mustang which first made its debut in 1965 has proven once again its sheer durability and undying popularity.
The Mustang’s specifications simply cut its rivals down to size en route to bagging the Detroit Free Press Car of the Year Award for 2015.
Aside from affordability, decent specs and striking appearance, the Mustang is tried and tested as a high-performance sports car.
The 2015 Mustang GT variant comes with a fashionable design and peppered with up to date technology. It features a muscle-car V8 engine which safely installed on the 2.3 liter EcoBoost four-cylinder, providing the car the ability to accelerate from rest to 60 mph in just 4.5 seconds. Moreover, the Mustang GT engine has identical fuel efficiency as that of the BMW’s 3-liter six-cylinder 435i sport coupe and convertible.
The Mustang is also equipped with LEDs to give the it’s lighting fixtures a big boost. The wheel base is the same as from the previous model but the innards of the vehicles are augmented with the most recent driver aids, to enhance the car’s safety.
The 2015 Mustang’s feat will serve as a springboard for Ford to achieve further honors and accolades in the industry. Ford intends to unveil 23 other new or refurbished models in 2015. The company has earlier launched lightweight and fuel-efficient 2015 F-150 pickup truck which is made from aluminum.
