According to IBM the online sales in the United States increased by 9.5%, and iOS devices comprised 22% of the sales.
It looks like 2014 is a banner year for the Cupertino-based company. Since releasing its flagship handsets – iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus – few months ago, the company has piled up record breaking sales.
The company is not yet finished as it is cinched to perform better in the upcoming Black Friday when pitted against its nearest rival, the Android phones.
The iPhones has the edge even at the start as it boasts of a new mobile payment scheme which is capable of triggering impulse buying.
