Microsoft’s Lumia 535 plunges into the low-tier market albeit brand name Nokia

With the launching of the Microsoft’s very first Lumia smartphone minus the name tag Nokia, many reports and speculations are sprouting like mushrooms here, there, and everywhere.

But what is the fuss about the upcoming debut of the low-tier device which according to a new report will be dubbed as Lumia 535 and will be launched two days from now November 11.

Tech-savvy site Phone Arena already has some images of the low-end smartphone that leaked out from China. More reports allegedly stated that the handset will come up with uncommon and anonymous specs.

According to a report whipped up by Phone Arena, the leaked images will show a device with a noticeable brand name “Microsoft” placed on top of the mobile device. There is also another Microsoft brand printed at the back side of the handset.

And what makes this smartphone a craving for those who are keen on value-for-money offerings is its features. The Lumia 535 boasts of 5 inches qHD screen panel display with a resolution of 540×960 pixels. It is driven by a fast 1.2 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 200 processor with 1 GB of RAM. It is equipped with an 8 GB of internal data storage capacity with no announcements just as yet on whether it can be expanded via card slot.

The features don’t end there as the Lumia 535 is peppered with a generous 5-megapixel rear camera and 0.3-megapixel front camera, 1900mAh battery and can play host to dual SIM.

With the launching of its low-end phone, it is evident that Microsoft is diversifying its market portfolio. The Redmond-based behemoth Microsoft is ready to slug it out with the current leader in the low-tier market which is Lenovo.
