Samsung White waylaid Star Horn Royal Club 3-1 cops 2014 League OF Legends World Championships title

Samsung White scored a rousing 3-1 victory over fans favorite Star Horn Royal Club to collar the 2014 World Championship in a smashing fashion.

The tournament which was held at Sangam Stadium, Seoul, South Korea last October 19, 2014 saw the Samsung White just yielding two games and dominated their opponents in every stats of the match like in Kills/Death/Assist (KDA) ratio, gold earned and champions kills.

The reigning champion improved its overall win-loss record to 15-2 and takes the cool $1M cash while the Star Horn Royal Club took the runner up honors for two straight years and went home with the $250K prize.

Though Royal Club managed to steal game 3 to cut the 2-0 lead of the Samsung White to 2-1, but the eventual champion made sure it will take home the crown, the whopping cash reward and bragging rights by taking the fourth game in a lopsided fashion.

Samsung White support Mata was chosen as the 2014 World Championship MVP as he wound up with an impressive 10.04 KDA and played key roles in essaying deadly plays against their opponents.

Samsung White showed no real weak spots in the tournament and a testament of this is the team only dropped two games, which is only one game behind 2013 World Champion SK Telecom T1 K’s record.

In the Group Stage, Samsung White eked out an unblemished record of 6-0 to pace Group A and easily barged into the knockout stage.

Samsung White made it to the semifinals by routing Team Solomid 3-1 in the quarterfinals and earned a finals berth by scoring a 3-0 sweep of sister team Samsung Blue.
