Amazon is not only keen on expanding its product lineup but also in the process of broadening its target market as well. The internet retail behemoth is aiming at the children market segment with its first of its kind Fire HD Kids Edition, a reasonably-priced Fire tablet that comes with a two-year warranty that will replace the gadget if it gets busted with no questions asked.
The director at Amazon Devices, Nate Glissmeyer said, “If your child breaks your tablet, you get a new one. It’s that simple.”
The user-friendly HD Kids Edition, also boasts one year of Amazon FreeTime Unlimited, a subscription plan that comprises youth-oriented content, including the Harry Potter books and some “Sesame Street” videos. Kids can watch programs and read books over and over again with this free offering.
The Kids Edition versions are reasonably priced. The Kids Edition on the HD 6 variant is priced at $149 and on the other end the HD 7 flavor is fetched at a price of $189.
