Philippines’ Cherry mobile joined forces with Microsoft, Intel and Qualcomm to come up with its first batch if Windows-powered smartphones and tablets in the country. This move is one way of promoting the popularity of the Window-based products and paves the way for more demand of the Operating System of Microsoft.
Two Windows-powered phones made their debut in the market last September 9. The company’s Alpha (smartphone) series comes in four two flavors such as Alpha Style and Alpha Luxe.
The Style and Luxe are Windows Phone 8.1 powered smartphones which is driven by 1.2 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon quadcore processors and Adreno 305 graphic. The 4 inches Style has 800×480 IPS display, 4 GB of memory and 512 MB RAM.
The 5 inches Luxe is not to be outdone as it boasts of 1280×720 High-Definition display, 1 GB RAM, and 8 GB data storage capacity.
Considered as the cheapest Windows phone the Alpha Style is fetched at a price of around $70 while Luxe carries a price tag of about $110.
Good news for those businessmen and people who are always on-the-go as the phone comes with an Office mobile.
