Set to make a groundbreaking debut at the start of next year, 2015 Chevrolet Corvette Z06 has been priced at a whopping $78,995. The price also includes the $995 in destination for the high-end model.
The versatile automobile will be available for order in Chevrolet dealerships beginning in the last quarter of this year. The company doesn’t have any price offer for its 2014 model year but its 2013 version starts at $76,595.
According to Chevrolet spokesman Monte Doran said that the price of the new Z06 is somewhere in the vicinity of the old Z06, but it its at par best with the performance quality of the Corvette ZR1, which is priced in between $112,000 to $125,000.
The Chevrolet’s stratagem in providing the price for the 2015 Corvette Model is to come up with more performance value per dollar.
The convertible version of the Z06 starts meanwhile is fetched at $83,995 with shipping, while the base 2015 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray has a more affordable price of $53,995 including the destination fees.
Chevy dealers are accepting orders for the base Corvette Stingray, which is scheduled to be delivered in September.
The Corvette model is in direct collision course with its rivals Ford Mustang GT500 Turbo S, SRT Viper, and Porsche 911. The Corvette Z06 operates on a supercharged 6.2-liter V8 engine that is capable of yielding an impressive 650 horsepower.
The Z06 is available in two package options such as the Z07 Performance package for $7,995 and the Carbon Fiber Ground Effects package for $2,995.
The carbon fiber package have a useful carbon fiber front splitter, rocker panels and a larger rear spoiler, whilst the performance package boasts of an added carbon ceramic-matrix brake rotors for better performance and handling.
