Volkswagen recalls 151,389 in U.S. and 38,101 in Canada over fuel system issues

One of the units of Volkswagen of America Incorporated’s Volkswagen AG is hobbled by fuel system that resulted to recalling a whopping 189,490 units of 2009 model Tiguan small SUVs in the North America region.

Around 151,389 Tiguan SUVs were recalled in the United States while 38,101 vehicles are recalled in Canada.

The company recalled the vehicles since they generate air bubbles in the fuel injection system when the gasoline is exposed to very cold temperature (especially during winter season)


The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration confirmed last August 7, 2014 that company’s is on the process of recalling the flawed vehicles.
