The octa-core Xolo Play 8X-1200 is coming soon for $325

Xolo is an extremely popular brand in India, and they’ve launched several new smartphones already this year. The Xolo Play 8x-1200 is one of the company’s latest handsets, and it packs quite the punch for $325.

The Xolo Play 8x-1200 can’t compete with LG and Samsung in some areas, but it offers up a lot of bang for your buck. The Play 8x-1200 has a 5-inch FHD display with an octa-core MT6592 clocked at 2Ghz, and 2GB of RAM under the hood. You’ll get 32GB of storage space which is more than most handsets offer for the price, but there is no SDcard slot unfortunately.

Rounding things out for the Xolo Play 8x-1200 is a 13MP rear camera and 5MP front-facing shooter. It will run Android KitKat 4.4 out of the box, and a 2300mAh battery will keep the lights on. As with most phones from overseas, it will have dual-SIM compatibility and you’ll get your data through Wi-Fi and 3G.

The Xolo Play 8x-1200 is already up on Xolo’s official site, and is listed for Rs. 19,999 or around $325. No release date has been given at this time, but the company should announce something soon. As you’d expect, the smartphone will only be available in India unless you use a 3rd party re-seller.
