Lenovo isn’t a name you hear all that often in the smartphone world, but that is going to change as the company is set to roll out a slew of devices this year. At the moment, there’s only one new upcoming handset that we know of, but it’s certainly caught our eye, and it’s called the Lenovo K920.
Rumors of a flagship phone from Lenovo have been bouncing around the net for a while. We heard it would have high-end specs, but the release date and pricing was up in the air. Today we got the answer to one of those questions as Wang Yan, Lenovo’s Marketing General Manager, has announced the Lenovo K920 will be shown off on August 5th.
As for the device itself, Yan said nothing but posted a teaser on Weibo that shows the 16MP rear camera. Speculation abounds, but most people fully expect the Lenovo K920 to have a 2.5GHz processor, 3GB of RAM and 32GB of storage. No word on the microSD slot, but you’ll get a 16MP rear camera, 5MP front-facing shooter and it’s run Android KitKat 4.4. Did we mention the 6-inch 2560×1440 display?
Details are still light on what else the Lenovo K920 will have in store for the world when it’s officially unveiled in August, but we’re excited to find out. Stay tuned, and we’ll keep you loop when we find out more details on Lenovo’s new flagship.
