The top contract manufacturer of electronic in the world, Hon Hai Precision Industry of Taiwan, will start producing Apple’s newest cutting edge version of iPhone 6 on a large-scale level this July, 2014 according to local news.
Taiwan’s Economic Daily News stated that, “The bulk production of the 4.7-inch iPhone 6 is a fitting follow-up to the very well-accepted recent iPhone smartphones models and will start on the third week of July,” and added that, “The production of the smaller 5.5-inch version will start on the second week of August.”
According to another report made by news service in China, chief of the Henan Provincial Commerce Department quipped that Hon Hai also intends to employ 100,000 workers on its facilities which are based in mainland to sustain future demands for the smartphones.
Another Taiwanese-based contract manufacturer, Pegatron, started hiring over 10,000 employers for its mainland facilities to fabricate the phones, according to the Economic Daily News report.
Hon Hai so far hasn’t made any remarks about this development, same with the representatives of both Pegatron and the Henan Provincial Commerce Department.
