Samsung Galaxy Note 4 set to release on September 3

A Samsung insider has stated that the Samsung Galaxy Note 4 is set to be officially released on September 3 this year. The insider spoke to Android Geeks, saying that the company will begin sending invitations for their Unpacked event in mid August this year ahead of the release to officially reveal the phone and it’s features. This lines up with the release dates for previous iterations of the successful phablet device which typically launch in September. This is usually done to draw attention away from the latest iPhone. This same insider stated that last year that the Galaxy Note 3 was set to launch on September 4.

The Note line of devices are synonymous with beefy specs, and the Galaxy Note 4 is set to be no different. The Samsung Galaxy Note 4 is predicted to have a quad core Snapdragon 805 processor, 3 GB of RAM and a 16 megapixel back facing camera upgraded with Optical Image Stabilization. It was only recently that a report stated the Note 4 would feature a 5.7 inch Quad HD screen with a resolution of 2560 x 1440, putting the pixel density at 515 PPI. If this is the case, the Galaxy Note 4 would have one of the best displays on the market and would definitely move units, even more so than normal.

The Galaxy Note 4 will likely release running Android 4.4 KitKat heavily modified with TouchWiz as usual. It is expected that the Samsung Galaxy Note 4 will also feature a fingerprint sensor and heart rate monitor carried over from the Galaxy S5 as well as the S Pen, a staple of the Note line of devices. The S Pen will most definitely come with new additions in functionality.

The Samsung Galaxy Note 3 was a  massive commercial success, widely regarded as one of the best smartphones of 2013 alongside the HTC One. The Note line of devices have proven to be some of the most successful products on the market and are credited for creating phablets and pushing the boundaries of high end smartphone technology. Whether or not the Galaxy Note 4 is actually released on September 3 is something Samsung fans will have to wait for, though knowing the Korean giant, a September release date seems very likely.
